LSA to Hold 60th Anniversary Panel at 2024 Annual Meeting

In 1964, Professors Harry Ball, Robert Yegge, and Richard Schwartz established the Law and Society Association to foster and support the nascent field of law and society scholarship. Six decades later, the LSA remains the primary intellectual home for scholars committed to the social scientific, interpretive, and historical analysis of law across multiple contexts. LSA annually brings together thousands of scholars from a wide range of disciplines and methodological approaches, nationalities, and career stages.

On Sunday, June 9th, at LSA’s annual meeting in Denver, President Michele Goodwin (Georgetown Law, Linda D. & Timothy J. O’Neill Professor of Constitutional Law and Global Health Policy) will be joined by seven Past Presidents to celebrate LSA’s 60th anniversary:

Together, panelists will discuss LSA’s evolution and impact on the field of law and society, as well as the future of LSA. Most importantly, how can LSA adapt to a rapidly changing world while staying true to its core values?
