Applications are now open for the LSA Talks! Public Scholarship Academy. Supported by the Law and Society Association and the Emory University Center for Public Scholarship and Engagement, LSA Talks! is a groundbreaking virtual and in person capstone program designed to equip LSA members with the tools and expertise needed to productively communicate to a non-academic community. This initiative bridges the gap between scholarly research and public discourse, ensuring that research has a meaningful, far-reaching impact.

Program Highlights:

Op-Ed Program: A 2-day virtual Write to Save the World workshop administered by the Op-Ed Project. This intensive experience equips participants with the tools and confidence to craft and place impactful opinion pieces in major outlets.

Three-Minute Thesis (3MT): Take part in a synchronous virtual session moderated by Program Coordinators, designed to sharpen research communication and presentation skills.

One-Pager Reflection: In April, each participant will complete a brief written reflection submitted by email to the coordinators, then shared in advance of the San Francisco capstone.

The application deadline is November 17, 2025. For questions, please contact Deepa Das Acevedo dasacevedo@emory.edu
