“Unassigned” Individual Paper Proposals
If you are unable to find other panelists, and decide to submit an individual “unassigned” proposal, your abstract will be sent to the Program Committee. They will attempt to match your proposal with other topically-related individual submissions. Keyword selection is particularly important for optimal placement of your paper. Authors of Unassigned Papers may be asked to present as a Poster Paper.
For the “unassigned” paper submission form, you will need:
In order to submit, you must first have an account on our LSA Services system.
If you are an LSA member, or have attended a recent meeting, you already have an account. Go to Verify Registration Status to verify your account if you are not sure, or to setup a new account if you have never registered with us. If you have forgotten your password you can click on “Forgot Password” in the the login process, once you have entered your email address. Please do not create a second log-in account. Complete or update your profile, indicating as primary an email address that will remain current through the dates of the meeting.
Note: AllAcademic, a third-party vendor, manages the submission site for electronic proposal submissions. Their software generates automated emails to acknowledge your log-in and submissions and will include important information. These emails will have “@allacademic.com” as the return address. Please take care to assure that they are not captured in your spam-filter. |
To Submit the Proposal:
- Login to LSA Services
- From the Menu, Click on—"Proposal Submission Site"
- Click on—Submit a New Proposal
- Click on—Submit a Proposal Now
- Click on—“Paper,” (from Individual Proposal section) to bring up form
- “Unassigned Paper” should already be designated (default)
- Enter the Paper Title and Abstract (400-500 words) in the appropriate fields
- Select Keyword(s) descriptive of the paper’s topic in order of relevance to the paper topic (keyword #1 should be most relevant).

- Add ALL co-authors, (all must be listed for the printed Program).
Use the Search mechanism to find your co-authors in the submission database. If their names do not come up, your co-authors need to log into the LSA Services site. After logging in, your co-authors can then click on the link to the Proposal Submission Site (in the left menu), and their names will be drawn into the submission site immediately. If they do not click on that, it will take 24 hours for their information to be drawn in. You will then be able to add them.
If a co-author will not be presenting or will not be attending the meeting, indicate “non-presenting” author. The author(s) that will present the paper should be marked “presenting.”
There must be at least one “presenting” author. A paper must be presented by an author of that paper.
