Invitation to Publishers:
We invite your press to participate in the Book Exhibit at the 2006 Annual Meeting of the Law and Society Association, Law's End(s)?, to be held July 6-9 at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Hotel, Baltimore, Maryland. We anticipate a large meeting of over 1,000 participants from the U.S.A. and countries around the world.
The meeting will attract scholars from sociology, political science, history, economics, anthropology, criminology, linguistics, psychology and law. In addition to being active scholars, attendees typically teach large classes of graduate and undergraduate students.
The cost of exhibiting at the 2006 Meeting is $220 per full table or $25 per title on group display tables. You may include catalogues, order forms, and return envelopes with the books you will display. We urge you to send a representative to talk with members about your publication list and your possible interest in publishing their work.
You should also consider advertising in the meeting Program. The cost of advertising is $250 for a full page, $190 for ½ page (horizontal). Camera ready copy for the Final Program is due by April 1. In addition to program advertising, leaflet space in conference packs is available.
To reserve your exhibition space and/or to place an ad in the program, please complete and return the reservation form to this office by March 1, 2006. On receipt of your reservation, we will send instructions for shipment of display materials to Baltimore.
We also welcome proposals of sponsorship to defray costs of meeting materials, catered events, audio-visual, etc.
We are certain that your participation will result in heightened visibility for your press in the growing and important area of scholarship in sociolegal studies.
If you have questions please get in touch with Lissa Ganter, ganter@lawandsociety.org, 413-454-4617.
