Child Care

In Seattle, LSA is expanding its long tradition of facilitating the participation of young parents in the annual meeting with a new approach to supporting child care. In lieu of an on-site child care center, grants up to $300 per family will be available for child care costs incurred because of attending the meeting. Allowable expenses include costs not previously covered, such as extra expenses at home if the child does not travel to the meeting city or for travel expenses for a caregiver to accompany the attendee and child to the meeting city. We hope that this new approach will prove more flexible for attendees and allow us to serve a larger number of parents for the same expenditure.

The application period is from February 1 to March 15, 2015.

The Law and Society Association values the inclusion of persons with disabilities in its membership, its activities, and its governance. It is the policy of the LSA that persons with disabilities should participate as fully as other members in the Association in all LSA activities, including in particular annual meetings, committees, Graduate Student Workshops and Early Career Workshops. The LSA will make all feasible efforts to accommodate members with disabilities and to remain responsive to the needs of our members who have disabilities.
