Author Meets Readers Sessions

Any law and society book published in the calendar year 2016, except textbooks, edited volumes and case books, is eligible for an AMR session. Books published online during the eligibility period are acceptable. In addition to submitting online the information requested below, please send the following information as a single pdf to Megan Warren at warren@lawandsociety.org.

Serving as a Reader on Author Meets Readers Panels and Salons is exempt from the rule prohibiting individuals from participating in more than one conference panel, but being an Author does count the same as presenting a paper or participating as a roundtable discussant.

AMR Salons
These modified AMR sessions provide a more intimate, less formal setting for engaging a scholarly book.
Participants and audience members in AMR Salon sessions meet to discuss the book seated around a single table in a ballroom setting dedicated to multiple concurrent book discussions, each at a separate table. These sessions must have at least two readers, along with the book’s author(s). Please indicate in your proposal description if you are interested in holding session in the Salon format.

If space limitations require assigning some AMRs to a salon format, sessions will be selected randomly for this change.
